Privacy notice

This notice covers the connected Android release (1.0.8 onward). Earlier evaluation builds keep community records on the phone. Existing users must accept the updated notice before accessing the shared service. Your trial records and cover photos are not automatically uploaded.
Who operates Roam Club
Artiena LLC operates Roam Club. Contact developer@artiena.com for support, safety reports or privacy questions. This app is intended for adults aged 18 or older.
Account information stored online
Artiena Accounts, hosted on Hostinger, processes your email address, account identifier, password hash, protected authenticator setup information, recovery-code verification data, registered installation identifiers, sign-in sessions, email-verification records, and dated acceptance of the adult-use declaration and terms. These records provide sign-in, account security, recovery and access control. Email delivery uses our configured mail provider. Verification means control of the email was checked; it does not prove identity, age or sports qualifications.
Shared community information
Hostinger stores your profile name, optional phone number and biography, selected region, volunteering choice, vehicle specifications, sports experience, questionnaire responses, clubs, memberships and roles, applications and decisions, events and attendance, messages and statuses, moderation reports, blocks, recovery tickets and assistance points. The app keeps a local copy to display your community. Content is protected in transit by HTTPS; this is not an end-to-end encrypted messaging service.
Club summaries are visible to signed-in members browsing that region. Club activities and conversations require approved membership. Club admins review membership and event applications, including relevant vehicle and experience information. Reports are available to authorized moderators; the club moderation view does not disclose reporter identity. Share only information appropriate for the people who can access that content.
Active recovery summaries are visible in the selected region. Precise coordinates and recovery phone numbers are restricted to the requester and accepted helpers after contact-sharing consent. Assistance points are community acknowledgements, not payment or safety qualifications. Custom cover photos remain on your phone and are not uploaded. Shared covers use bundled illustrations.
Permissions and precise location
You may grant location permission to choose a region or attach coordinates to a recovery ticket. We do not continuously track your location in the background. Check the coordinates before sharing. Photo selection is used for a local club cover. Android notification permission enables alerts and reminders; remote alerts also require a separate opt-in. You can change permissions in your phone settings.
Biometrics and account security
Biometric matching is performed by your phone. Roam Club does not receive or store your fingerprint image or face template. Biometric unlock uses protected credentials on the device; it does not remove server-side authentication requirements.
Notifications and external services
Local reminders are generated on the phone. Connected mode offers optional delivery through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging, with a separate opt-in. That service uses a device registration token and installation identifiers. Notification payloads are designed to contain a generic update notice, not chat text, recovery coordinates or phone numbers. You can disable remote alerts in the app and notification permission in Android settings. Notifications are not an emergency-response guarantee.
Maps, calls, email and WhatsApp links open external services governed by their own privacy practices. Check whom you are contacting before sharing details. There are no advertising or subscription features enabled in this release, and we do not sell member information to advertisers.
Sharing and service providers
Hostinger processes account and shared community data as our hosting provider, and our email provider processes verification delivery. Service providers may process data outside your country under their own hosting and service arrangements. Authorized support personnel may access information needed to handle a request or protect the service. We may disclose information when legally required. We do not upload community photos to these services.
Retention and deletion
Account and community records are kept while needed to operate the account and community, until you delete them or request deletion, subject to specific legal or security retention explained when applicable. Cancelled events remain as history and award no attendance credit. Closed recovery tickets are restricted to their requester and participants. Phone-only trial records and cover photos remain until you remove them or clear app storage. Scheduled cleanup expires push delivery jobs after one day and delivery receipts after two days; invalid registration tokens are removed. Cleanup can be delayed during an outage. You can delete your Roam account in the app using current authentication, or request deletion of your account and associated server data through our account deletion page, including if you no longer have the app. We verify ownership before deletion and explain any specific legal or security retention that applies.
A shared Artiena login needed for another Artiena app is retained when only Roam access is deleted. Hosting backup copies may persist until scheduled expiry; Hostinger documents seven days for daily backups and six weeks for weekly backups. Copies other people save independently, and data sent to external apps, are outside Roam Club’s direct control.
Your choices
Contact developer@artiena.com to request access, correction or deletion, or to ask about processing and retention. Do not send passwords, authenticator codes or recovery codes by email. You can withdraw optional device permissions in Android settings. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete your online account.
Updates
This notice describes the connected release. Material changes to data processing require renewed in-app acceptance. Any future paid features or advertising would require separate setup and updated disclosures.
