Account security & recovery
Activate the purchaser account once, enrol an authenticator, and keep the one-use recovery code somewhere safe—not on the reception tablet.
First activation
Artiena verifies the procurement and provisions the registered purchaser account. The purchaser receives a separate activation code through the agreed channel. In the app, choose Activate purchase, enter the registered email and activation code, and choose a password.
Scan the setup QR with a compatible authenticator on a trusted separate device, or enter the manual setup key. Enter the current six-digit code to confirm enrolment. Never send the QR/setup key to Artiena support.
Save the recovery code
After successful enrolment, the app shows a high-entropy one-use recovery code. Copy it to a trusted password manager or write it down and store it securely away from the reception device. Confirm that you have saved it before proceeding.
It is not a master password and is not shown in visitor logs, exports or backups. Do not store it in a shared staff directory or send it to support. A code shown on this website would not be your code; real codes are issued only by your account service.
Lost your authenticator?
Choose Recover access and enter the registered email, account password and unused recovery code on the registered installation. The service consumes that recovery code and revokes sessions, then requires a new authenticator enrolment before normal access resumes.
After verifying the new authenticator, a replacement recovery code is issued. The previous code cannot be reused. If recovery is interrupted after consumption, or both password and recovery method are lost, contact hello@artiena.com for account-ownership verification. There is no universal bypass code.
Everyday reception access
Purchaser login protects access to the registered installation and is checked online. Visitor kiosk mode has its own receptionist PIN, configured in Settings. That PIN does not reset the purchaser password, authenticator or recovery code.
Sign-out removes the device’s account session without erasing the operational database. Another account must not gain access to the records already bound to this purchaser. Device replacement needs an authorised transfer process; copying an installation identifier is not proof of hardware ownership.
Know the limits
Recovery restores account access only. It cannot reconstruct records from a lost, wiped or uninstalled reception device. A copied identifier is not hardware attestation, and no software should be described as foolproof.
The launch candidate needs live-host security testing, account provisioning, key management, support recovery procedures and subscription verification before paid public deployment. Report suspected security issues privately to hello@artiena.com without attaching customer records or secrets.
